Town of Creston, Washington
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 20, 2026
The Town of Creston ("the Town," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. This site is currently a placeholder while the full official website is being built, so the only information we collect is what you choose to give us through the email sign-up form.
Information we collect
- Email address. If you use the "Notify me at launch" form, we collect the email address you submit so we can tell you when the official website goes live.
- Spam protection data. The sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm you are a person and not an automated bot. Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address and browser characteristics for this purpose. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Basic server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical details such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. These logs help keep the site secure and running.
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking on this site.
How we use your information
We use the email address you provide for a single purpose: to send you one message when the official Town of Creston website launches. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties, and we will not use it for unrelated mailings.
How long we keep it
We keep sign-up email addresses only as long as needed to send the launch notice, after which they are deleted unless you have asked to stay on a Town mailing list. You may ask us to remove your email at any time by contacting Town Hall using the information below.
Public records
The Town of Creston is a Washington municipal government. Information you send to us, including email addresses and messages, may be a public record subject to disclosure under the Washington Public Records Act (RCW 42.56). We protect personal information to the extent allowed by law, but we cannot guarantee that records will be exempt from disclosure.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the website develops. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
